Online Isle of Man based video interview software developer The Needle, has announced a partnership with Scotland’s largest and leading job board, s1jobs.com. The partnership, which was publicised at s1jobs’ Recruitment Awards ceremony at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza earlier this year in April 2015, will see The Needle’s celebrated video interview solution fully integrated into s1jobs’ applicant and recruiter platforms, with plans to go live in early July, 2015.
With a candidate database of over 250,000 CVs and almost 700,000 unique users logging in each month, s1jobs is Scotland’s leading job board. s1jobs offers recruiters an applicant tracking systems (ATS), known as Applicant Manager, and also offers a Jobs Manager application which provides recruiters and their agencies a single, easy to use resource with which to manage and record applicant details and movements. The result is a seamless and efficient user experience for both applicant and employer, and one that is set to be enhanced through s1jobs’ partnership with The Needle video interviews.
The s1jobs team has worked with The Needle to build a specialist interface and viewing platform which integrates The Needle’s user friendly video software into s1jobs’ existing Job Manager system. This means that as well as live applicant metrics, CV matching and status update functions, recruiters will soon be able to invite short-listed candidates to conduct a video interview, share the video interviews with key decision makers, and aggregate comments and ratings using a single platform. Thanks to the unique video processing from The Needle, decision makers can view and comment on applicant video interviews on any Internet connected device. From the applicant’s perspective, they will be able to search s1jobs.com and apply for a role as they do today. Then, if selected to complete a video interview, the applicant can do so from anywhere using their mobile, tablet or laptop, all from an easy and intuitive, single resource and without ever leaving the s1jobs platform. The integrated platform sets a new benchmark for the online recruitment industry, and one which puts user experience first.
Commenting on the partnership, The Needle’s Managing Director and Co-Founder Christine Tautari said: “Our decision to partner with s1jobs was born simply of mutual opportunity. Having worked closely with s1jobs and their customers, as well as being a sponsoring partner of the past two years’ s1jobs Recruitment Awards ceremonies, we recognised that despite their successes the company remains hungry, eager to innovate and to do so with users’ experience as their utmost priority. As technology developers with first-hand experience in the HR and recruitment industry, we recognise that the success of the recruitment process hinges upon the extent to which we can make the user experience reassuringly simple and efficient for employers, agencies and applicants. By using integrated video technology, we aim to help recruitment teams save time, improve their time to hire and reduce costs.”
Also commenting on the partnership, Ewan Stark, Managing Director at s1jobs, said:
“s1jobs has been helping businesses throughout Scotland find the right people for over 14 years. We are continuously focused on exploring new ways in which we can help job seekers across Scotland find their perfect place to work and businesses the right employee. The introduction of video interviews will save time for both candidates and employers by making the hunt for the right fit quicker and more effective.
“We understand the important role video has to play in the recruitment process so could instantly see how this would benefit our clients. We are very excited to partner with The Needle and to be the first to offer this ground breaking, integrated solution to Scottish job seekers and companies.”
